Incredible how these reprimands occur nowadays. When i was at private school i had a chalk duster thrown at my head which knocked me out, i was locked in a gas chamber where the teacher then sucked out the air. I was regularly clipped round the earhole and given the hairbrush on the backside. That was only 20 years ago but today would be classed as abuse. Looking at events like the one in the article below those teachers could have done time for their actions. In my day grassing on a pupil or teacher was just something you did not do, unless you wanted to lose any respect you had in the heirachy of the system which was essential for survival in that system.
